it’s almost half time! I cannot believe that I am already four weeks in London aka the best city there is! I came here with a lot of expectations and big dreams and I have to say that London was not short in delivering! In only one month I have met more interesting and inspiring people than I did the entire last year. From stylists, to bloggers, professional singers to photographers and entrepreneurs, I had the chance to talk, work and network with such colourful personalities from the most diverse backgrounds.
This is one thing I absolutely love about Britain’s capital: the never ending range of opportunities. If there is a missed chance, you don’t have to wait long until the next opportunity arises. This applies especially to avid fashion lovers like me.
The pictures were taken again by the lovely Chloe Knott. She lead me to this absolutely magical location – a hidden gem in the centre of the usually quite modern City, London’s financial district. I never would have found out about Leadenhall market on my own but I really enjoyed the extreme contrasts of these colourful store fronts to the big skyscrapers with their full-front glass towers.
Definitely worth checking out when visiting London!
As for my outfit I went for rather ‘conservative’ outfit with serious British vibes. Although London is one of Europe’s fashion capitals where you’ll see all types of styles, one thing I noticed is that there is still this typical ‘English’ look. I dress quite differently from most women here – while I am almost daily rocking skinny jeans with a nice blouse or a blazer, the ladies from the island are usually wearing skirts and –unbelievable but true- flats, despite the still quite cold and windy climate!
This outfit is an attempt to channel my inner Brit, not only opting for a skirt but upgrading the game with going for the oh-so-British plaid pattern.
I hope I could fool some tourists in making them believe I was a true British lady.
What do you think? Could I fool you?
